Injury woes for Hixon
There was bad news for the New York Giants player when he found out that he had torn three ligaments. The upshot for Domenik Hixon is that he is going to miss the entire NFL American Football season. This is such a shame because the season was likely to be interesting with Hixon in the mix. He was the Giants leading put player in 2009 but injury has meant that many of the hopes that had been placed on him had to be put on the back burner until he was better. This was a process that took plenty of time and was unrewarding at times but the career has never completely fizzled out. This latest injury brings into focus the impact on the NFL American Football in general and the specific teams in particular. A player that is promising is usually brought to a grinding halt when the injuries start to pile up. People have different explanations for the occurrence of injuries amongst sports people: To begin with the NFL American Football season is quite challenging in its own right. If the player has any sort of problem with their body or is not match fit in any way, the play will expose this problem and they will end up with a debilitating injury that will keep them out of contention for a very long time. Therefore it is far better to wait until the players are ready for the big matches before they are pushed into them. It saves the public a lot of time and will ensure that they do not have to ensure the constant withdrawals of players that are unable to compete. Some people also say that the season needs to be changed to accommodate the different injury levels. This would mean in practice that the NFL American Football has fewer games. The disadvantage of this approach is that it is more than likely to alienate the very same customers that are responsible for keeping the company afloat. It is therefore not a serious strategy for getting people to work on the game.
